It is said that in Greece, rarely anyone gets drunk. Instead they drink alcohol to bring up the mood and enjoy the evening, mostly to accompany the taste of food being served. They jest in a sociable manner (plaka) and say Happy Birthday (chronia pola χρόνια pola) or Cheers (eviva) according to the occasion.
