One night in Bourbon Street

I told Joe, "Did you realize this is the first time we ever went here without a stroller?" Bourbon Street in New Orleans is one of the few touristy places where you don't see parents with little children walking around at maybe 11 p.m. or later. Well, since our little one went to bed early, this was our chance to explore a little bit of the infamous French Quarter.

Every night, security personnel put barricades to keep vehicles from going through Bourbon Street. Pedestrians can walk from and to stores, bars and restaurants. Countless balconies are open for Mardi Gras tourists.

Looks like someone is getting his groove on. He even made a new friend.

Laissez les bon temps rouler!

And even though I didn't get neither my tutu or hand grenade, I took home an alligator claw for back scratcher.
